The HFD Calculator application has an intuitive interface, aided by Apple®'s user-friendly iPhoneTM platform.

The application has two functional screens:

Main Screen





1. Main Screen

The main screen allows the user to select the focal length and the aperture.

By selecting the Info Button icon at the bottom right of the main screen, the Camera & Units Screen is displayed.

2. Camera & Units Screen

The Camera & Units Screen allows the user to select the preferred measurement units and the camera type.

To return back to the main screen, select the Done Button button on the top right of the screen.


The hyper focal distance is calculated based on the entered focal length, aperture and camera type, and is displayed in the large rectangle on the main screen.
